American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS, an international not-for-profit organization, believes that the fundamental role of education is to foster positive change for individuals, institutions and societies. Founded in 1974 as an association for area and language professionals, American Councils, with a team of over 370 dedicated professionals, designs, implements, and supports innovative programs in education, professional development, and scholarly research.
